Hi there, and welcome to KawarthaGold Goldens.  We have been breeding dogs since 1970, starting with German Shepherds and then on to Rottweilers.    The past 8 years have been dedicated to our Goldens,  our love and passion for dogs grew even more and breeding ethics have never changed.  We still place great emphasis on health and temperament as our first priorities!

We chose Goldens for their loving nature, great temperaments, and easy-going personalities - what more could one ask for?  Their ability to bond with children was also a deciding factor in choosing the Goldens since our grandchildren spend a lot of time playing with our dogs.

We are the proud owners of four wonderful girls - Sophie, katie and Shelby and Breezer.  Sophie and Katie may be littermates, but there couldn't be two dogs more different.  Sophie is very laid back and easy going (the real motherly type) and then there is Katie.  Well Katie can be summed up in 3 words - "Where's the Water"!!!!  Enough said.  Sophie and Katie are a great pair and have stolen our hearts from the moment we laid eyes on them.  We have recently retired Katie,  she now lives with a wonderful family in Bracebridge ON,  whom also have one of Katie's boy's "Murphy".

Shelby is Katies daughter....and yes,  loves the water just as much as mom.  Shelby is my "lap dog",  and still thinks she is a puppy.  Unfortunatelly,  as much as I tell our new adoptive families not to let their goldens get into bad habits....I'm guilty!   Shelby still thinks she is a puppy,  and now whenever I sit in my lazy chair,  guess who is first to get up on my lap,  and how can I resist her.  She has such a wonderful soft,  gentle dimeaner and just loves to snuggle.

We would now like to introduce "Belle D'OR Bacardi Breezer",  "Breezer for short.  She has recently been to Guelph for her series of genetic tests and came through with flying colours.  Our Breezer has personality plus...and is quite the tomboy, with her enthusiasm for endurance.. whether is be chasing a ball, playing tag with the others, out for long walks or swim,  you can count on Breezer coming in first. 

 
All our puppies are born and raised in our home with our grandchildren spending as much time as possible playing and helping with the puppies.  This ensures that the puppies are well socialized before going to their new homes.  

Because all of the girls in our breeding progam have their genetic clearances through Guelph ON,  for hips, elbows, heart and eyes.  It is with confidence that we can send Our puppies home with a two year written guarantee for hips, elbows, heart and eyes,  they are  CKC registered, micro-chipped, vet checked, 1st shots are given, they are dewormed twice, and sent home with a  6 week medical insurance coverage (free) from the CKC,  a puppy care package and a lifelong committment of communication from our home to yours.  We are members in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club and all our puppies are sold on a CKC Non-Breeding Contract.

We will freely give you the benefit of our experience and knowledge of dogs and will always be available to make recommendations, suggestions or help you with any concerns or problems you might encounter.

Our puppies are only sold to loving, caring owners that are required to provide a lifetime commitment to their puppy.  That being said, we understand that circumstances do not always make it easy to keep a puppy or dog and we will take back the puppy or dog or try to help the owner find a new home.
